Kyle Sandilands Says It Would Be ‘racist’ To Fire Whoopi Goldberg –

Kyle Sandilands is sure he knows why Whoopi Goldberg narrowly survived the ax after making controversial Holocaust comments on a US talk show.

Kyle Sandilands has claimed it would be “racist” to fire Whoopi Goldberg after her controversial Holocaust comments on her US talk show.

The 50-year-old shock jock waded into the saga, which saw 66-year-old Goldberg narrowly avoid ABC’s ax Viewwhich instead suspended her for two weeks despite calls for her dismissal.

“The cancel culture is now over. It’s over. Now no one will be cancelled. If Whoopi Goldberg hasn’t been canceled, that’s the end of the cancel culture,” Sandilands said. And they can’t cancel it, because she’s a black woman, and that’s racist in itself.

“Why wasn’t Whoopi Goldberg canceled for saying that Holocaust bullshit? Because she’s a black woman.

That’s the only reason she wasn’t fired. Because they were like, ‘Oh, she’s not a fat, rich white girl! What are we going to do with a real black woman? Nothing!’”

Sandilands added that he doesn’t believe anyone should be fired for ‘having an opinion’ but that it happens in many cases, the most obvious being Roseanne Barr who was fired from her ABC show in 2018 after posting a racist tweet. .

“If everyone gets fired for even thinking about something these days, then why wasn’t she (Goldberg) fired? She was only suspended for two weeks.

Goldberg was forced to apologize last week after saying on air: “The Holocaust is not about race. It is about man’s inhumanity to man.

She apologized a few days later via Twitter: “On today’s show, I said the Holocaust ‘is not about race, it’s about human inhumanity. towards man”.

“I should have said it’s both. As Jonathan Greenblatt of the Anti-Defamation League shared, “The Holocaust was about the Nazis’ systematic annihilation of the Jewish people – whom they considered an inferior race.” I am corrected,” Goldberg said.

“Jewish people around the world have always had my support and that will never change. I’m sorry for the hurt I caused. Written with my sincere apologies, Whoopi Goldberg.
